Easter is such a fun holiday, especially with kids! Cam was super young last year, so he liked to pick up the eggs, but we basically had to hand them to him. This year Nora will be too young to participate in egg hunts, but Cam is the perfect age, so it will be fun to watch. Regardless, I am still that crazy mom/ Easter Bunny that makes them baskets full of goodies. This time was definitely more challenging with two kids of opposite genders, and different ages, but I love a challenge.
Porter Lane Home sent us these beautiful, neutral, personalized basket covers for our Easter baskets. She has so many different font/style options to choose from in her Etsy shop. I love the way these look and that they’re neutral. To me, neutral=timeless. I will be able to use these baskets/basket covers for years to come! Plus, this way I am able to match the kids’ baskets, which makes my heart happy.
It was totally different getting the Easter baskets together for this year. First of all, Cam is at the age where he actually knows what’s going on, and can be involved in EASTER activities. Secondly, we have a second child now!
Not only did I need to prepare two baskets, I needed to work with two different ages and opposite genders as well- totally new to me! I wanted to keep them somewhat simple and related, even though they’re so different. This was kind of fun. I found a lot of Cam’s goodies in the Target dollar spot (duh), and it took many random trips to Target to find it all!
Nora’s basket// I wanted to make her basket girly, so found an adorable pink bunny, my favorite bows and moccs, and some adorable heart sunglasses. I also added some wooden eggs and a set of pajamas to match her brother.
Cam’s basket// I know how much fun Cam is going to have with Easter this year, so wanted to get him some fun & useful spring activities. I went with a matching blue bunny, wooden truck, chalk, garden tools, pajama set to match his sister, bubbles, and wooden eggs he can draw on. I will add in some candy on Easter as well.
